The Clinton County Historical Museum is located on the Old Base Museum Campus, at 98 Ohio Avenue, in Plattsburgh, NY. The building is an historic landmark on it's own, as it is one of the original buildings constructed as part of the Plattsburgh Post, built on land that was in use by the United States Army since the War of 1812.
Nearby attractions include the Terry Gordon Bike Path, a recreational trail for walking, running, and bicycling, which runs directly behind the Museum with Lake Champlain only a short walk away. Directly adjacent to CCHA is the Champlain Valley Transportation Museum and the Imaginarium Childrens' Museum of the North Counrty, the War of 1812 Museum and the Plattsburgh Air Force Base Museum. Behind the Air Force Base Museum is the Clyde A. Lewis Park with 2 planes flown during our Air Force years.
